“Sea Life Sydney Aquarium” là một bể nuôi cá công cộng thuộc thành phố Sydney bang New South Wales nước Úc (Australia). Nó còn được biết đến với tên “Sydney Aquarium” (Hồ cá ở Sydney). Nó nằm ở phía đông cảng Darling (Darling Harbour), và phía bắc của cầu Pyrmont.
Vợ chồng tôi đã đến đây thăm viếng mấy tuần trước. Hướng dẫn viên hồ cá lúc đó là một chuyên viên trẻ có bằng Cao Học về sinh vật dưới biển, học cao hiểu rộng, nên giải thích cặn kẽ giúp cho chuyến thăm viếng rất hào hứng và thú vị.
Sydney Aquarium ( Hồ cá Sydney) có khoảng 6,000 con cá và sinh vật dưới nước thuộc hơn 650 loại khác nhau. Aquarium (Hồ cá) này tạo lại môi trường sống của nhiều vùng khác nhau ở nước Úc, như sông ngòi phía Nam (Southern rivers), sông phía Bắc (Northern rivers), cá nàng tiên (mermaid lagoon), đại dương phía Nam (Southern Ocean), đại dương phía Bắc v.v..

Điểm nổi bậc nhất của Aquarium này là những đường hầm bằng kiếng acrylic dưới biển. Du khách đi trong hầm này có thể thấy cá mập và nhiều loài cá khác bơi lội, hay lắm. Đặc biệt ở đây có tạo dựng trở lại cảnh vật của rạn san hô Great Barrier Reef của vùng biển bang Queensland ở phía Bắc nước Úc. Rạn san hô này lớn nhất và đẹp nhất thế giới, được UNESCO nhìn nhận là di sản thiên nhiên thế giới.
Khi thăm viếng Sydney, vợ chồng tôi cùng đoàn du khách ở Mỹ đã ăn tối tại một quán ăn thời thượng ở bến cảng ngó ra Vịnh Sydney, ở khu bến tàu Circular Quay. Sau bữa cơm tối vợ chồng tôi lấy ghe (Water taxi) đi thưởng ngoạn cảnh vật Vịnh Sydney vào buổi tối lúc phố xá lên đèn. Sau cùng vợ chồng tôi thăm viếng Aquarium nầy, độc đáo lắm.
